TEACHING

We are now an approved training practice. This means we will be having young doctors on attachment who are training to become GP’s. These will be very experienced doctors.

We will still be having Foundation doctors and Medical Students.

The trainer is Dr J Elliott.

GP Registrars

These are experienced doctors who are doing their final training to become General Practitioners.

Foundation Year 2 (FY2) Doctors

These fully qualified Doctors have worked for at least one year in Frimley Park Hospital and spend four months in our practice to gain further experience and understanding of family medicine. They are always supervised by an established GP, usually Dr Elliott.
** From 1st April 09 Dr Neda Minakaran will be working with us for 4 months

Medical Students

We are involved in teaching 4th year and final year medical students from the University of Southampton. They work alongside the Doctor to extend their learning and to fulfil their training requirements.
Sometimes you may be asked to see the doctor or nurse with a student present. Other times you will be asked to see the student first who will take a history and then you will see your GP with the student present. This offers valuable learning opportunities for the student. If you prefer to see your GP/nurse without a student present, please let us know. It will not cause offence.
